CivicSpace
Since its inception three years ago, CivicSpace (formerly CivicSpace Labs) has made a mark as a relatively prominent open source software developer serving nonprofits, political organizations and campaigns, and online social communities. The small for-profit organization is "not a typical commercial entity," and describes CivicSpace as “an open source organizing platform.” Explains CivicSpace co-founder, Zack Rosen, “Our mission is to provide tools for the next generation of social movements in a way that’s cheaper and more sustainable.”
