      <title>Politics Operations Manager</title>
<description>Join the politics team at CREDO Mobile, a multi-issue progressive activist organization with 1.2 million activist members. We're a lean, fast-acting team of organizers and tech geeks who use the web to push for meaningful progressive change on a range of issues, including a strong public option in healthcare, climate legislation that preserves the power of the Clean Air Act and doesn't sell out to coal and oil companies, food justice, marriage equality, and many others.

The Politics Operations Manager is the lynchpin in ensuring our daily campaigning goes off without a hitch. On a given day you may have to figure out how to optimally target emails to six different segments of activists; deliver petitions to members of congress; produce a report on activity for the week; find a vendor for our newest free sticker; troubleshoot problems with an online petition; or call members to turn them out to a protest.

The ideal person for the job will be a voracious sleuth and problem solver, have a head for numbers, and be adept at juggling a variety of projects and tasks with competing deadlines. You're willing to hop online before heading to the office to fix the targeting on an email to the east coast, and you'll crank out the weekly report while finding ways to optimize, improve, and automate it. You like being in the center of a dynamic team and being the one who makes things work.

Preferred skills / experience:
• A passion for progressive politics; your Google Reader is brimming with progressive blogs (and we don't mean the New York Times)
• An online native; experience with mass email, social media, and the tools that accompany it
• Good with numbers; familiarity with basic statistics a plus
• HTML skills and a desire to learn more
• You speak SQL and understand relational databases
• More coding experience would be great, but not required
• You have worked or volunteered on a political campaign or scrappy non-profit

      <title>Senior Front-End Web Developer</title>
<description>NGP is seeking a creative, collaborative and passionate Senior Front-End Web Developer to be the executing force in building a user interface for a web-based, enterprise business application that will delight users, excite designers, and inspire your colleagues. You will be part of a small UX Team; where our mantra is to always understand user problems and goals before jumping into solutions. Solutions will also be a team effort from design to implementation. If you want to be told what to do or what to build—and be a programming robot—then this job is not for you. We need you to immediately come on-board with your thinking hat charged, proactive problem-solving skills ready to go, and sleeves rolled up to produce rock-solid, hand-coded CSS/XHTML and JavaScript. We also want you to own and take leadership of designing and defining the front-end architecture: setting the bar for the best structured code, produce re-usable and scalable code to help increase output and efficiency, and set best practices for optimizing the performance of the front-end.

How do you know if you’re the right person?
You should have…
•	An opinion about coding semantic XHTML and writing clean, minimal code.
•	Had ownership or wanted to be the beholder of setting CSS standards/guidelines for a large web-based, enterprise business application.
•	2 to 5 years of solid web development using newer web 2.0 UI patterns (AJAX, DHTML, DOM manipulation).
•	Strong leadership in effectively estimating Product Backlog Items, breaking down front-end work into small accomplishable tasks, and delegating work to team members when help is needed.
•	A knack for forward progress and getting unstuck by creating and bridging relationships with fellow back-end engineers and colleagues to get things done and hit team goals!
•	A personal blog where you love sharing what you’ve learned and/or opinions; or a portfolio site that already shows off your XHTML/CSS expertise if we looked under the covers.

You should be…
•	Curious about the interworking of jQuery or similar Javascript library; and comfortable hand-coding and debugging common Javascript functions.
•	Stickler about cross browser development and testing; and already know the advantages and disadvantages of Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome.
•	Proud of your exceptional organizational skills.
•	Passionate about asking questions and using your excellent oral and written communication skills to help unravel user problems.
•	A little OCD or even a lot OCD with your attention to details and maintaining design integrity.

Additional desirable skills and experience:
•	Good working knowledge of ASP .NET MVC Framework
•	Knowledge of WPF / Silverlight / CSS3 / HTML5; or experience developing Rich Internet Applications
•	Knowledge of Photoshop / Illustrator / Visual Studio / Version Control Systems / Agile-Scrum Process
